The Penn State Outreach and Online Education Dubin Pioneer Award is sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for Online Education and the Office of the Vice President for Outreach.
General Description
This award recognizes current or former University faculty, staff, and technical service employees who have made significant contributions to support the Outreach and Online Education vision through their work, either within Outreach and Online Education or in their respective University units.
Nomination Process
A call for nominations will be sought on an annual basis from Outreach and Online Education constituents, stakeholders, and staff for The Penn State Outreach and Online Education Dubin Pioneer Award. A small selection committee, appointed by the Vice President for Outreach and the Vice Provost for Online Education, will be responsible for reviewing the nominations and recommending a nominee for award consideration. The recipient of the Dubin Pioneer Award will be recognized at the annual Outreach and Online Education Appreciation Dinner.
The following information should be included in the nomination dossier:
- name of nominee
- employment information for nominee (job title, work area, active or retired status)
- contact information for nominee
- a brief summary describing how the nominee has made significant contributions through his or her work, either within Outreach and Online Education or in another area of the University
