Dubin Pioneer Award

General Description

The Dubin Pioneer Award was established in 2009 and recognizes current or former University faculty, staff, and technical service employees who have made significant contributions to support the Outreach vision through their work, either within Outreach or in their respective University units.

Nomination Process

A call for nominations will be sought on an annual basis from Outreach constituents, stakeholders, and staff for the Penn State Outreach Dubin Pioneer Award. A small selection committee, appointed by the Vice President for Outreach, will be responsible for reviewing the nominations and recommending a nominee for award consideration.

The following information should be included in the nomination dossier:

  • name of nominee
  • employment information for nominee (job title, work area, active or retired status)
  • contact information for nominee
  • a brief summary describing how the nominee has made significant contributions through his or her work, either within Outreach or in another area of the University
