Penn State Outreach

Welcome to Penn State Outreach

Penn State Outreach supports the University’s core missions of service and engagement by delivering compelling, evidence-based content developed by University faculty to diverse audiences while creating meaningful learning opportunities for students.

Outreach engages its constituents in a purposeful, reciprocal dialogue that identifies critical issues and opportunities, and then utilizes the intellectual resources of the University to deliver solutions that improve communities.

Outreach’s programming leverages faculty expertise, external partnerships, institutional priorities, and funding opportunities to maximize impact on people in Pennsylvania, the nation, and the world.

Penn State to Have Key Exhibit at the 198th PHS Philadelphia Flower Show October 19, 2026 - The theme for the 2027 show is “Iconic.” The plants, objects, and other elements used should reflect the people, research, history, and experiences that have shaped Penn State. As part of that effort, the Arboretum is inviting the entire Penn State community to help tell the University’s story through a “Call for Objects.”
