A Penn State Outreach youth program is the perfect opportunity for youth in grades 7 through 12 to explore careers, try new challenges, and explore the University Park campus. Participants attend classes taught by faculty, graduate students, and leaders in the field. Programs are led by faculty and include projects, small and large group activities, field trips, social events, and much more. All campers reside in residence halls and are chaperoned by trained counselors who have successfully completed a background clearance and have experience in the related field of study. These programs help youth to build self-confidence, acquire new skills, and make new friends while having fun. Whether they are building an architectural model, producing a short video, performing with other musicians, learning how to develop an art portfolio, or making a weather forecast, our young students have memorable experiences that can help lay the foundation for their development into the adults of tomorrow.
