K-12 Sustainability Summit Attendee Resources

Thank you for joining us at the 2025 K-12 Sustainability Summit. This page is your hub for resources, funding opportunities, and programs to help you bring sustainability and climate education into your classroom and school community. Explore seed awards, fellowships, and tools to turn the ideas you discovered at the Summit into action.

K-12 Sustainability Seed Awards

With support from the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and PepsiCo, we are offering seed awards for up to $500 to educators who attended the Penn State K-12 Sustainability Summit. These funds help you bring sustainability-focused ideas to life in your classroom, school, or district.

Projects should:

  • align with knowledge or resources gained from the summit (e.g., Grow & Go Sessions, sustainability tours)
  • support the Environmental Literacy strands of the new STEELS Standards
  • build capacity toward participation in PDE’s Pathways to Green Schools program

Your application should clearly describe your idea, connect it to these goals, and show how the funding will support implementation.

Application deadline: April 30, 2026

K-12 Impact Fellows in Sustainability

This pilot fellowship supports educators in developing classroom-ready sustainability and climate-resilience projects that align with the new PA STEELS Standards. The program adapts the Pennsylvania Local Climate Action Project (LCAP) into a high school–level learning experience. This year, the fellowship will focus on educators working with students in grades 9–12.
