Congratulations, Spring 2009 Grads!
We were delighted to meet many of our spring 2009 graduates, their families, and friends at the World Campus and Continuing Education Graduation Open House held last May on Penn State’s University Park campus. Students from around the world also joined us in Second Life to watch a live Webcast of the event.

Dr. Roger Williams, executive director of the Penn State Alumni Association, congratulated our graduates on their tremendous accomplishments. He expressed great admiration for their achievements, and added that he was extremely impressed by the growing membership of World Campus graduates in the Alumni Association.
Speaking directly to our graduates, he said, “Your route to academic success has been less than conventional in the face of demands from your careers and your families and all the other responsibilities of adult life. You are more determined than the typical student to cement your tie with Penn State for the rest of your life.”
Williams encouraged graduates to stay connected: “Your days as a student may be over, but your relationship with Penn State is just beginning, and we want it to last the rest of your lives!”
You can watch Dr. Williams’ full speech, and other World Campus videos on the Penn State World Campus YouTube channel.
