Urban Service Experience is a 2-credit course (RPTM 297C). All students participating in Urban Service Experience must be registered as a full-time student (12 or more credits) for fall of 2008. A welcome packet will be sent via mail or e-mail to confirm your acceptance into the program.

All program participants are responsible for full payment of their fall tuition. The $135 activity fee will be billed directly to your student account upon participation in the program. Notice of cancellation must be received at least three weeks prior to the program start date for you to receive a refund. USE has a waiting list, so if you must cancel, please do so in advance as a courtesy to other students so they can enjoy the USE experience.

Important note: USE will be listed on your fall class schedule as RPTM 297C. Do not drop this course from your schedule. If you decide that you would like RPTM 297C dropped from your schedule, you must contact Tammi Richard at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center at tyr1@outreach.psu.edu. Dropping this course may result in you losing your space in the USE program. If the course drop takes place after the late drop deadline during the fall semester, you will incur a fine and be held responsible for the course tuition. Contact our office if you have any questions regarding this process.

Students have the opportunity to register for RPTM 297S, a first-year seminar offered exclusively for USE participants. Contact Susanne Dubrouillet, program director, or Tammi Richard, staff assistant, for more information.
