Restrooms at Shaver's Creek Environmental Center

Shaver's Creek has restroom facilities for guests, including separate handicapped-accessible restrooms. These are located to the right of the main building and behind the Raptor Center along a paved, marked path.

We are currently planning a new environmentally friendly restroom facility with Penn State's Office of the Physical Plant to improve the comfort of our guests. The facility is expected to be constructed in 2006-2007.

If you are camping in the wilderness, or if you are on a trail and cannot get to a restroom, Shaver's Creek advises that hikers and campers be aware of Leave No Trace ethics for proper disposal of their waste. Shaver's Creek is a proud partner of the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics.
