Several facilities at Shaver's Creek, including the main building that houses our Bookstore and Gift Shop, are available to rent for group programs, outings, and even weddings. Please see our Rental Pricing and Policies for details.
Boats and boating equipment for use on Lake Perez is available across the lake at Stone Valley Recreation Area. Stone Valley also rents cabins, pavilions, and lodges surrounding Lake Perez.
The main building and its Lower Classroom and Discovery Room can accommodate groups up to fifty people (or fewer, depending on the room configuration). The main building also has covered and uncovered outdoor porches that can accommodate more people in good weather (noting that the weather should not be relied upon). The Upper Classroom can accommodate up to forty people (depending on the configuration). The Outdoor Classroom, constructed in 2008, can accommodate groups up to 75 people in a covered outdoor setting (no walls). Some groups can also utilize our semicovered teaching spaces adjacent to the center and on our trails. In addition to the Outdoor Classroom, a picnic area is available near the Upper Classroom.
Note: Groups of twelve or more require advanced scheduling and a nominal fee.
The Bookstore houses a variety of outdoor books for adults and children, Shaver's Creek clothing, outdoor items such as bird feeders, and gifts for adults and children. Members of Shaver's Creek receive discounts on purchases at the Bookstore and on rental of our facilities.
