Two Methods for Camp Registration: Paper Forms or Online (for the 2009 season)
Paper Forms
Beginning immediately when you receive your brochure in the mail, registrations will be accepted by mail or by fax at the address or fax number on your brochure (814-863-5175). You may also bring your completed registration form directly to the center. These will be dated and accepted in the order in which they are received. Do not mail a form if you have registered online. Paper forms will not be available until they are mailed to your address. For registration confirmation, please include a current e-mail address (we do not allow your address to be used outside of Shaver’s Creek).
Online Registration
Beginning February 10 at noon, members may register online. Online registrants should receive an immediate registration confirmation. Do not fax, mail, or walk-in a form if you have already registered online.
Nonmember Registration
Nonmembers may register using any method beginning at noon on February 24.
Special Registration Process for Leaders-in-Training
If you are interested in participating in our LIT program, please e-mail Paul Brigman at pgb120@psu.edu to request a volunteer application.
Phone registrations cannot be accepted, because signatures are required for several authorizations and releases. Full payment is required at the time of registration.
Note that registrants will be asked if they are members. If you are a member, you must insert your membership expiration date as "0409" or "0410" (these stand for April 2009 or 2010). Do this even if your membership expires after 2010.

Cancellations
A $25 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations prior to the day before camp begins. If a camper is forced to leave camp after that time due to injury or illness, a prorated refund of the registration fee (up to 50 percent) will be given.

August 4–6 (Tuesday–Thursday) This program is for preschoolers and kindergartners. We'll wander the trails in search of special places and animal friends. As we share stories and art, the parents have the option of enjoying the center or a nearby trail. |

More than forty animals—including birds of prey, reptiles, and amphibians—are cared for by Shaver's Creek staff. All of the animals are representatives of species found in Pennsylvania. Discover these creatures' unique characteristics as you explore the various habitats around Shaver's Creek and gain experience caring for and handling these interesting animals. |

Did you know that we all live downstream—in space and time? Join us for this week to explore the Shaver's Creek watershed and learn more about what it means to "live downstream." We will investigate the creek for which the center is named, a wetland, Lake Perez, and the Juniata River. Plan to get wet on occasion as you study these ecosystems by foot and by canoe! |
