Shaver's Creek Alumni Interest Group

Who are Shaver's Creek alumni?
Former interns and employees and Penn State students who have taken courses (including the block semester) or volunteered at Shaver's Creek are all welcome to join the Shaver's Creek Alumni Interest Group (SCEC AIG).

What is the AIG?
An AIG is an alumni group that centers around a common interest or experience that Penn Staters have, rather than being based on residency or an academic college. AIGs are officially recognized groups and are supported by the Penn State Alumni Association.

Please visit the Penn State Alumni Association's Web site for more information.

How do I join or make sure that I am a member?
Simply call our office at 814-863-2000 (or 814-667-3424), or e-mail us at ShaversCreek@outreach.psu.edu, and ask to be added to the list. You can also ask the Alumni Association to list you as a member by sending an e-mail to alumni-address@psu.edu.

What are the dues?
There are no dues for membership in the Shaver's Creek AIG.

What is the purpose of the SCEC AIG?
The SCEC AIG has three main purposes. First, we want to keep alumni in touch with each other and to help them feel that they are always a part of the Shaver's Creek experience. Second, we want to keep alumni informed of current news about Shaver's Creek. Finally, we want to give alumni a way to be able to give something back to SCEC, whether it be volunteering their time on a project or contributing to the center's mission.

Whom should I contact to get involved?
You can contact the staff at Shaver's Creek or either of the AIG's current officers.
