Arrival Information
On behalf of the entire Penn State family, we would like to welcome all athletes, coaches, parents, family members, and friends to Penn State. We are pleased to host the Happy Volley Club Championships and Camp, and sincerely hope that your experience at Penn State is a positive one.
Please read the following:
Arrival: Final registration for all teams will be held in Findlay Commons, in the East Residence Halls area (see parking map) from noon to 10:00 p.m. When you arrive, there will be traffic signs and traffic control personnel to help you find your assigned parking areas and give you further directions regarding registration.
Parking during the tournament: The map shows the University parking lots that are available for your use for the entire weekend. Be sure to park legally by staying in parking areas marked in orange on the map. If you are staying on campus, please park your car when you arrive and walk to your assigned playing site. If you’re staying at the local hotels or motels, here is some additional helpful information:
- If your team is playing at Recreation Hall, please park in either the large lot across Atherton Street from Rec Hall (Lot Red A), or in the Nittany Parking Deck.
- If your team is playing in White Building, please park in the HUB Parking Deck.
SHORTLIDGE ROAD IS CLOSED AT POLLOCK ROAD DUE TO CONSTRUCTION; ACCESS TO THE HUB DECK IS FROM COLLEGE AVENUE ONLY! - If your team is playing at the Intramural Building, please park in the Stadium West Lot.
- If your team is playing in the Bryce Jordan Center or the Multi-Sport Facility, please park in Lot 44.
- If your team is playing in the Ice Rink or Holuba Hall, please park in the orange lot next to East Area Locker Room and Holuba Hall.
- If you plan on driving an RV to the event, the only parking lots open to you will be Stadium West and Lot 44. No hook-ups will be available.
As a rule of thumb, all “orange” and “red” (Red commuter and/or Red A lots) parking lots are open as are all parking decks for parking during the weekend. Also, to enter any parking deck, your vehicle cannot be any taller than 6'8". Please respect all handicapped spaces and those spaces marked “reserved twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.”
Medical: Each venue will be staffed with Sports Health Care personnel on duty throughout the tournament. Sports Health Care personnel will provide first aid and emergency medical care as well as professional recommendations concerning any injury or illness that might require more in-depth medical evaluation.
