Fee and Registration
To enroll an athlete in a Penn State Boys' Basketball Camp, a parent or guardian must complete all parts of the registration form except the "Team Roster" and send it, with full fee payment, to Penn State. (The registration form may be copied for use by others.) Or submit our online registration form (see below).
This year, registration for team sport camps is offered online, as well as through the mail. EACH team must have a separate representative (coach, parent, or booster) who is responsible for registering the team and paying the $80 deposit per participant. (The deposit is refundable up to 15 days before the camp.) The balance of the registration fee must be sent with the completed registration forms no later than eight weeks before the camp begins.
After a team has been registered, the representative will receive a confirmation notice and a school/club code that he/she can distribute to their players. Parents must then register their child/children using the team name and school/club code to ensure that their child is placed on the correct team.
Team Camp Representatives
Collect all completed individual applications that were not submitted online and mail them, along with your team roster/roommate preferences, as one package. (The team roster and roommate preferences should include all team members, whether they register online or through the mail.) Please make sure that parents have signed all designated areas on the registration form. The head coach attends the camp at no cost. Additional coaches will be charged for housing and meals.
Enrollment is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Those persons accepted will receive a letter of acknowledgment and notification of any program changes. Those not admitted will receive a refund. Walk-in registrations on the day the camp opens cannot be guaranteed.
Penn State maintains waiting lists for sport camps. To be put on the waiting list if the camp is full, check the appropriate space on the registration form. Persons on waiting lists may be accepted into camps on short notice. Checks will be deposited and American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and VISA credit cards will be charged to ensure campers' places on the waiting list.
Credit card payment can be accepted only with online registration. Please read these instructions before filling out the online registration form.
Please read this Penn State Summer Programs Standards of Conduct PDF.

All cancellations must be received in writing by mail, e-mail, or fax. Full refunds will be made for cancellations received at least fifteen days before the camp begins. After this deadline, an $80 fee will be deducted for administrative expenses. For purposes of a refund, the postmark of the cancellation letter or the date stamp from the fax machine will determine the date received by the Sport Camps office. Refunds for campers who leave before the last day of camp due to illness or injury will be based on the cost of housing and food, instructional periods attended, and a prorated support fee. Campers who become ill and/or injured and choose to remain for the duration of the camp will not receive a refund. All refunds will be completed in late August.
