Coaching Staff

Volleyball head coach Mark PavlikMark Pavlik, camp director, is in his fourteenth year as Penn State's head varsity coach. Prior to his promotion to head coach, he served as Penn State's assistant coach for five years. During his tenure, Penn State has compiled an impressive 309-100 record and appeared in the NCAA Final Four twelve of the last thirteen years, highlighted by a national championship in 1994 and national championship runner-up in 1995 and 2006. A Penn State graduate and student athlete, Coach Pavlik has developed a unique coaching philosophy that stresses hard work in practice and a determination to develop the well-rounded person and student athlete.

Volleyball assistant coach Craig DyerCraig Dyer begins his second year as an assistant coach with Penn State's men's volleyball program. Prior to joining the Penn State staff, he was the interim head coach for the Seton Hall women's team; he also served as the Lady Pirates' assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. In addition to coaching at Seton Hall, Coach Dyer's résumé includes collegiate coaching at Susquehanna University, Rutgers University, and Lebanon Valley College.

Colin McMillan begins his first season as assistant men's volleyball coach. Prior to joining the Penn State staff, Coach McMillan was a graduate assistant for Ohio State during the 2003 season. He also served as a club coach for several programs. As a player, Coach McMillan was a four-time All-MIVA selection at Ohio State. McMillan led the Buckeyes to the national runner-up title during the 2000 season and finished among the top five in hitting percentages all four years. McMillan also was a member of the United States team that captured the gold medal at the World University Games in Beijing, China. He has played for the USA National Team, and he competed internationally for various clubs around the world.

The camp staff also includes top American coaches and current and former Penn State players. Their expertise and enthusiasm create an atmosphere conducive to learning and enjoyment.
