Course Objective

This short course provides a broad but comprehensive introduction to many important topics in underwater acoustics and signal processing. The goal is to give participants a practical understanding of fundamental concepts, along with an appreciation of current research and development activities. It serves as a foundation for more advanced study of current literature or for other specialized courses. This short course is designed for scientists and engineers who want an introduction to, or a review of, topics in underwater acoustics and signal processing

Program Schedule

To accommodate the broad range of participants' interests, the course offers concurrent sessions for two of the five days. Participants may attend any sessions and will receive notes for all sessions. This schedule is subject to change. Course attire will be casual.

Instructional Materials

Each enrollee receives a three-ring notebook and a CD containing course content.
