Objectives
Following the conference, participants should be able to:
- describe three different technologies that youth are currently using for sexual learning and explain how these technologies work
- describe three advantages and three risks involved with the use of these technologies for sexual learning and interpersonal interaction
- identify at least five different e-resources that could be used to supplement their work with youth
- provide at least two concrete ideas for integrating technology into the sexuality education that they provide to youth
- list three advantages of using science-based approaches to sexuality education and teen pregnancy prevention
- name three characteristics of effective teen pregnancy prevention programs
- incorporate new information, resources, skills, and educational approaches into their work with adolescents
- discuss techniques for effectively advocating policies that promote adolescent sexual health
- name three programs that have been found to be effective in reducing risky sexual behavior among adolescents
