Fee and Registration
The capacity for the conference is 100 participants, and registration is being conducted on a first-come, first-served basis — so please register early. If the 100-participant limit is reached, you can ask to be placed on a waiting list.Fee
The fee covers all conference activities and materials; the abstract booklet; a reception on Tuesday, November 17; a dinner on Thursday, November 19; and a continental breakfast each morning. Registrants are responsible for all other meals and lodging.
If you register by October 1, 2009, the fee is $300.
If you register after October 1, the fee is $350.
How to register
You can register online or by mailing the printable registration form (with a check, money order, purchase order, or letter of authorization from your employer or sponsoring organization). Registration is now open. Please review and print these user-friendly instructions before going to the online form.
Credit card payment can be accepted only with online registration.

Deadline
All registrations must be received by 5:00 p.m. EST on November 3, 2009. After this date, please call the conference planner at 814-863-5100 for information.
Abstract Submission
Please send the title and abstract of your contribution to SWIFT2009_MEETING@ASTRO.PSU.EDU and indicate if you prefer giving a talk or presenting a poster. The deadline for the abstract submission is September 20, 2009. If your abstract is selected, you will be notified by October 4. If your abstract is accepted as a contributed talk or a poster, you must register to attend the conference.
Confirmation
Penn State Conferences will confirm your registration. You will be alerted promptly of any cancellations or changes. If some unforeseen event forces Penn State to cancel or postpone the program, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee; however, the University cannot be held responsible for any related costs, including cancellation fees assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
Refunds
If your request to withdraw is received at least fifteen business days prior to the first day of the conference, we can issue a partial refund. Send your written request by fax to 814-863-5190 or by e-mail to ConferenceInfo1@outreach.psu.edu. A $50 administrative fee will be charged for each withdrawal. Anyone who is registered but cannot attend may send a substitute.
