Our conference provides a great opportunity to network with colleagues and update your skills. Whether you work in secondary/postsecondary or long-term care education or at a health care facility, you can expand your knowledge and refresh your outlook at our annual gathering. Participants can earn Act 48 hours or PSNA contact hours or Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Keynote Speaker

Brian Blasko is a highly motivated, nationally known speaker and trainer. His keynote address, “Cruisin’ Through Life™ at 35 mph,” will identify six strategies to keep your internal engine running smoothly. Brian’s exciting presentation will encourage you to discover and maximize your personal potential.

Our lives and careers are like vehicles, and we are the engines that keep them running smoothly. Come learn how to add some "fuel" to your internal "gas tank" as Brian shares a few strategies for successful leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. Don’t let life’s little road blocks keep you stuck on the side of the road; come have fun and learn how to push your pedal to the metal!

Concurrent Sessions

Concurrent sessions will provide information on diversity in the classroom, clinical and classroom assessment techniques, creative learning, and health and safety tips for you, the educator.

Sheri Weidman, state coordinator of the Nurse Aide Training Program, will provide a NATCEP update for nurse aide instructors. Susanne Durante, Pearson VUE representative, will take questions and discuss improving skill competency results; evaluators will demonstrate the five most frequently failed skills.

Pampering Session

Join us for our popular pampering session on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Enjoy good food, opportunities for networking, or roundtable sessions with representatives from Pearson VUE and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Topics will focus on developing a preceptor program, preparing for the state competency examination, or other issues. And you can relax with a seated massage or indulge in a manicure!
