This year's tour is now over. The 15th Annual Road Scholars Tour will take place May 10–12, 2010.
The tour did three very important things for me. First, it gave me a better understanding of the impact that Outreach and Penn State have on the state. Second, it helped me understand Penn State and the importance of the branch campuses. Third, meeting so many interesting people, fellow faculty and staff, actually made me even more excited about being at Penn State.

On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, May
11–13, 2009, we will engage in our Road Scholars 14th Annual Outreach Pennsylvania Spring Tour. As a new or recently tenured Penn State faculty member, you will receive an
invitation in the early spring to participate in this three-day bus tour sponsored by the President's office.
View this video highlighting the 2007 Road Scholars Tour.
The bus will depart from University Park on Monday morning and travel to Penn State campuses, Pennsylvania businesses, and historical sites over the course of the three days. We
will learn more about the University and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania along the way, as well as the impact Penn State has on so many lives. You're welcome to view this map of the 2009 tour.
Once the tour has embarked, the University will provide all lodging, transportation, and meals, except for Tuesday's lunch (on your own in Pittsburgh's Strip District). For participants not based at University Park, your college or department will be asked to cover any additional costs incurred by you, such as transportation to and from University Park, and your lodging here, if needed.
Space on the tour is guaranteed to all faculty who have joined Penn State in the past two years and have not been on the tour before. Please complete the online registration form by Monday, April 13, 2009. To register, click here.
