All your course activities, assignments, and exams must be completed by the end of the semester. You should follow all course requirements outlined in the course syllabus.
How much time should I spend per week on my course(s)?
Continuing Education courses are designed with your busy schedule in mind, providing the flexibility you need to study at the time most convenient for you. Many of our students have found success by spending two to four hours per credit per week on their courses; in a 3-credit undergraduate course, for example, this means studying six to twelve hours per week. Upper-level undergraduate courses and graduate-level courses will likely require more time per week.
How long will it take me to finish my program?
Unfortunately, this is not an easy question to answer. There are many factors (e.g., transfer credits, course load per semester) that influence program completion time. Some adult students are able to enroll in Penn State full-time, others part-time. You should work at a manageable pace--a pace that best fits your schedule and your life circumstances.
