The busy schedules of our adult learners sometimes result in their requesting to register late for a course. Be advised that joining a Penn State course late may have a significant impact on your ability to successfully complete the course.
If you want to register for a course after the semester has started, Penn State requires you to obtain permission from the course instructor. Once you have instructor permission, you will need to submit a Registration Drop/Add Form to our office.
Late-Registration Fee
No late-registration fee is charged if you are registering during the University’s drop/add period. If you register after the drop/add deadline, you will be charged a $250 late-registration fee.
