Certificate in Nurse Management


This credit program is designed for registered nurses who hold, or aspire to, nurse manager positions.

The certificate program in nurse management can enrich your knowledge of basic health care organizations and administration; the collection, analysis, and management of nursing data; concepts and techniques for managing nursing personnel; and concepts and techniques for enhancing nursing managerial behaviors.

The certificate program in nurse management can set you apart from other registered nurses on the career ladder. It can give you the tools to be successful in midlevel managerial nursing positions. The courses fulfill the nursing elective component of Penn State's RN to B.S. program. (This degree program is offered online through Penn State World Campus.)

Admission Requirements

Enrollment in these courses is open to currently licensed registered nurses. All program courses must be taken for a letter grade, and students must maintain at least a C (2.0 grade-point) average to receive a Penn State certificate upon completing the program.
