Undoubtedly, as the fall 2008 semester winds down, course projects, presentations, and finals are on everyone’s agenda. I hope you’ll make time in this busy season to read this edition of Continuing Education Student News to keep in touch with what’s happening on behalf of our adult learners.
- Spring semester catalogs are now available, and many of you should have received a copy in the U.S. mail. If you haven’t received a copy, please call our office at 800-228-1627; we’ll gladly mail one to you. Lewistown and Williamsport students can obtain copies at their respective locations.
- Need help in selecting or registering for a course? Please call us for assistance at 800-228-1627.
- Penn State glitter pins are now on sale, with the proceeds going to our Fund for Adult Continuing Education Support (FACES). FACES awards are intended for Continuing Education adult learners who need funds to help offset their tuition and book costs.
- Thirteen Continuing Education students are on track to graduate this semester. A graduation reception is planned for World Campus and Continuing Education students on Saturday morning, December 20.
The Continuing Education student services team strives to provide high-quality customer service to our students from the first point of contact, via phone or in person: help with course scheduling and registration, top-notch academic advising and career services, and overall support of students enrolled in Continuing Education courses and programs in Lewistown, Moshannon Valley, State College, and Williamsport. The student services team consists of Betsy Esposito, advising services coordinator; Dana Aina, academic adviser; Liz Lasher, career counselor; and Michelle Snedeker, staff assistant.
Our offices are located in 121 Outreach Building in Innovation Park on the University Park campus, near The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. Our office number is 814-865-3443 or, toll-free, 800-252-3592. Staff members are available to take your calls Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
