Mission
Penn State Continuing Education offers lifelong learners of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to grow and develop in meaningful ways. By facilitating partnerships with Penn State's academic colleges, campus colleges, and external business and community members, Continuing Education devotes its resources to the University's outreach mission, creating opportunities for faculty to share their expertise within and beyond the university. Penn State Continuing Education serves as a local, regional, and statewide point of access to Penn State for those who seek opportunity through lifelong learning.
Vision
Continuing and Distance Education will excel nationally in creating new forms of engagement to connect Penn State's academic programs and resources with the needs of individuals and organizations. It will lead in the creation of an adult-friendly environment at all Penn State locations.
