Associate Degree in Human Development and Family Studies

The associate degree program in human development and family studies was created for persons who are interested in entering professions that require a knowledge of human services—such as family counseling—and other, related professions. The objective is to offer a general education background, a knowledge base regarding the life span and family development, and a core of professional skills that can be applied in program planning and service delivery activities. This is a convenient choice for persons who are already employed in a human services-related field and need professional development, and it is designed to be flexible so that it does not interfere with responsibilities at work or home. This high-quality program offers two areas of focus for career advancement and personal enrichment.

Adult Development and Aging Services Option

Children, Youth, and Family Services Option

This option is for learners who want to work with various age groups in centers, institutions, and agencies. The program's ultimate goal is to improve the quality of planned services for families from varied backgrounds and community settings.
