Concerned about teaching HIV prevention to different groups?
Do you know how to answer a young person's questions about sex?
Learn these important skills, and more, with PLASE.
The Pennsylvania Learning Academy for Sexuality Education (PLASE) provides sexuality education training to those professionals who work with young people in need of accurate sexual
information and health-promoting skills.
PLASE, a collaborative initiative with the Pennsylvania Coalition to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, is based in the Department of Biobehavioral Health in Penn State's College of Health and Human
Development. It offers a statewide education network for Pennsylvania, but welcomes participants from any location and background.
The spring 2011 PLASE program schedule is offering two one-day workshops, entitled Muy Importante: Sexual Health of Latino Youth, at two different locations across the
Commonwealth. These workshops are supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, so there is no registration fee.
PLASE can also work with schools and community groups to design, deliver, and evaluate sexuality education programs for targeted audiences.
