The Penn Stater Conference Center has contracted with AT&T Wi-Fi services to install and support a new guest network with expanded coverage and capacity. The new network features all new Cisco switches and access points. The number of access points on the property will triple, providing wireless Internet coverage for all areas of the hotel as well as seamless integration with Penn State's existing visitor wireless services and authenticated wireless networks. The hotel has also contracted with AT&T to provide 24/7 guest support for users connecting to the new network. The new guest network is scheduled to be operational in early April, several weeks before this conference, and key personnel will be on site to resolve any issues that might arise.
