Welcome to the Penn State School of Music's Summer Institute for Music Learning and Teaching. I encourage you to spend a few days on campus –– retooling, renewing, and rejuvenating. The 2010 "World of Possibilities" workshop will focus on creativity, and what better time to engage in conversations about the creative process than during Arts Festival week. If you have not experienced the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, let me just say that the 125,000 people who attend each year can't be wrong. You will find a vibrant and creative environment –– both in the classroom, on campus, and in the community. I hope you will join us.
