The Nittany Lion Inn
A block of rooms has been reserved for conference participants at the historic Nittany Lion Inn. The Inn, with its elegant Colonial charm, has spacious rooms and suites and features amenities like room service and free high-speed Internet access. As for restaurants at the hotel, you have the choice of the sophisticated Dining Room or casual fare from Whiskers. The Inn is convenient to the Penn State campus and downtown State College.

The block of rooms that are reserved starts on Monday, May 26, with checkout on May 30. When making reservations, be sure to identify yourself as a participant in the Microbial Fuel Cells Symposium. Please give the registration clerk the following reservation identification number: CIV0527. The block of rooms will be released to the public at midnight on April 25. The rates are $108/single occupancy, $118/double occupancy, $128/triple occupancy, and $138/quad occupancy. If guests require a cot, there is an additional charge of $15 per cot, per night. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.; checkout time is noon.

The Nittany Lion Inn provides free shuttle service for overnight guests from the University Park Airport, located in State College, Pennsylvania. Please call the Inn at 814-865-8500 to make a shuttle reservation or to request guest transportation upon your arrival.

Residence Hall Lodging
A block of rooms has also been reserved in University residence halls that provide adult-appropriate lodging with air-conditioned private bedrooms and private baths. Four single rooms with private baths share a lounge area. You can make a reservation by calling 814-865-0079 or toll-free within the U. S. 800-778-8006. Reservations must be made by May 10, 2008. Residence halls are within easy walking distance of the symposium venues and downtown State College. The room rate with continental breakfast is $62.50 per night. The rooms are not set up for double occupancy. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.; checkout time is 11:00 a.m. Taxi service is available from the University Park Airport or the Greyhound bus station to the campus.
