Registration
Fee
There is no fee for the conference. Registration includes conference materials, breaks, and all meals (lunch both days, dinner, and continental breakfast). Registrants
are responsible for lodging.
How to register
Online registration is available at http://offering.psu.edu/interop.
Important information about who can register: In view of space limitations and in accord with the conference's focus on information exchange and dialogue among federal, state,
and county public safety communications managers, we reserve the right to move any registrants outside these primary groups to a waiting list. If space allows as we approach the date of
the conference, we will, at our sole discretion, grant registration for the conference to those on the waiting list, according to the following categories in descending order of
preference.
- County or local representatives in excess of the anticipated attendance of three per county
- Federal or state officials with management responsibilities related to public safety communications
- Representatives of state agencies with responsibility for public safety communications
- Representatives of companies with product lines that are directly applicable to the Commonwealth's interoperability problem
- Other interested parties
Within these categories, the order of preference is first on the waiting list, first permitted to attend. We will provide timely notification to anyone registering for the conference who must be moved to the waiting list.
Deadline
All registrations must be received by 5:00 p.m. EST on September 4, 2009. After this date, please call the conference planner at 814-863-5100 for information about on-site
check-in; if space permits, you may register at the conference.
Confirmation
Penn State Conferences will confirm your registration. You will be alerted promptly of any cancellations or changes. If some unforeseen event forces Penn State to cancel or postpone the
program, you will get a full refund of your registration fee (if applicable); however, the University cannot be held responsible for any other related costs, including cancellation fees
assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
Access
Penn State encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing special accommodations or have questions about the physical
access provided, please contact the conference planner at 814-863-5100 at least two weeks prior to the conference.
H1N1 Notice
Please help lessen the spread of flu this season. Both seasonal and H1N1 influenza are expected to affect many people this year. The exclusion of ill persons from public, school, and
group gatherings is key to lessening the spread of the flu. If you are ill, please remain at home during your illness and recovery. If you have a fever (100˚ F or higher), the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention recommends limiting contact with others until you have been without a fever for at least 24 hours.
