Fee and Registration
IMPORTANT: Please read completely; then carefully follow these instructions to avoid unnecessary paperwork and to ensure that your registration is processed correctly.
This course has two credit options:
Fee: The tuition and fees cover all instruction, the course notes, the lunches on Monday and Friday, a campus parking permit, and the program materials. Registrants are responsible for some meals, lodging, and parking. The fee can be paid by check, money order, or purchase order (made payable to The Pennsylvania State University), or a letter of authorization to bill your employer or sponsoring organization.
- 2 credits (estimated to be $1,232 for Pennsylvania residents; estimated to be $2,200 for non-Pennsylvania residents)
- 3 credits (estimated to be $1,848 for Pennsylvania residents; estimated to be $3,300 for non-Pennsylvania residents)
Each participant also needs to pay a $65 class materials fee (covers two lunches, a campus parking permit, and instructional materials), a $56 technology fee, a $19 activity fee, and a $13 facility fee.
Any employees of CIU 10 schools are eligible to register for the course through the Central Intermediate Unit and take advantage of the special tuition adjustment program between Penn State and the Central Intermediate Unit. Tuition: The University reserves the right to revise the schedule of tuition and charges without further notice. For more information on tuition, visit http://tuition.psu.edu.
Deadline: All registrations must be received by 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, July 10, 2009. After this date, please call the conference planner at 814-863-5100 for information about on-site check-in; if space permits, you can register for an additional $30.
Confirmation: Penn State Conferences will confirm your registration. You will be alerted promptly of any cancellations or changes. If some unforeseen event forces Penn State to cancel or postpone the program, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee; however, the University cannot be held responsible for any related costs, including cancellation fees assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
Refunds: If your request to withdraw is received at least fifteen business days prior to the first day of the conference, we can issue a partial refund. Send your written request by fax to 814-863-5190 or by e-mail to ConferenceInfo1@outreach.psu.edu. A $50 administrative fee will be charged for each withdrawal. Anyone who is registered but cannot attend may send a substitute.

Important Registration Information for Graduate Credit Programs
Are you currently enrolled as a graduate (degree or nondegree) student?
If no, then go to Step A and then to Step D.
If yes, then go to Step B.
Step A: Complete Penn State's Graduate School Online Application form, found at http://www.gradsch.psu.edu/prospective/apply.html. You must apply online (electronically) by July 10, 2009. Do NOT use the printable version of the form.
IMPORTANT: To correctly complete this application form, be sure to follow the instructions provided for nondegree applicants. Also, on the Campus/Major/Degree page, be sure to choose "University Park" as the campus, choose "Nondegree Graduate" as the major, choose "None" as the degree, and choose "Summer of 2009" as the semester.
Step B: Are you resuming study after an absence of one or more semesters (not counting a summer session)?
If yes, then go to Step C and then to Step D.
If no, then go to Step D.
Step C: Complete a Resume Study/Change of Degree or Major form before registering for this program. Go to http://www.gradsch.psu.edu/current/current.html.
