Scholarships for Students

The Pennsylvania Department of Education's Bureau of Special Education announces the availability of student scholarships for the 2008 National Autism Conference.

When: August 4–8, 2008
Where: The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel, State College, Pennsylvania
Who: Pennsylvania college and university 2008 graduates or those in special education or related professions
Purpose: To encourage students and recent graduates to pursue a career working with students with autism spectrum disorders and to become informed on evidence-based practices and issues in the field
What: Scholarships will cover costs for up to fifteen graduates/students to attend the conference, including registration fee and lodging and meals included on the agenda.
How: Interested students and recent graduates should download the application form. To qualify, you must show evidence that you are a recent (2008) graduate of a Pennsylvania college or university, or a planned graduate in 2009, with a major in special education or a related field. A letter of recommendation from a university professor or his or her signature on the form is also required.
To apply for scholarship, please complete the scholarship form and return by June 30, 2008.
