About the Conference
We are excited to announce that novelist Alice Randall is providing a book launch of her new book, Rebel Yell, in conjunction with the conference. Please join us at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 22, at The Nittany Lion Inn (Boardroom) for this exciting event. Copies of Rebel Yell will be available for purchase and author signing.
This conference will cover contemporary novelists and their novels produced and published since 1988. The meeting is designed to attract scholars and educators from a variety of fields, including American and African American literary studies, cultural studies, rhetoric, African American studies, and ethnic studies.
Sponsored by the Africana Research Center, The Department of English, the Center for American Literary Studies, and the Institute for the Arts and Humanities. The conference is also affiliated with The African American Literature and Culture Society.
