Since their foundation in 1958, the International Rarefied Gas Dynamics Symposia have served as one of the main forums for presentation of recent advances in scientific and
engineering fields of rarefied gas dynamics.
The International Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics (RGD2010) is a forum for researchers, developers, managers, scholars, and students in the field of Rarefied Gas Dynamics. The RGD
Symposium is held every second year and is attended by participants from twenty countries representing the worldwide community. The 27th RGD, scheduled from July 10 to 15,
2010, will mark the first time the conference has been held in the United States of America in twenty-two years. Papers are invited in the following tracks:
|
Boltzmann and Related Equations
DSMC and Related Simulations Experimental Procedures in RGD Gas-Surface Interactions Jets and Plumes Kinetic and Transport Theory Micro-Nano Scale Flows and Devices Micro-propulsion |
Clusters and Aerosols

Authors who would like to present a paper on the above topics must submit a one-page abstract (that can contain figures, photographs, and references) online no later than GMT midnight
on January 31, 2010. See the abstract guidelines.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the RGD2010 Technical Committee and authors will be notified by March 1, 2010, on the outcome of the review process. If you are not contacted by this
date, please contact RGD-2010@engr.psu.edu.
Final papers must be uploaded via the RGD Web site no later than GMT midnight on July 10, 2010.
The Proceedings of 27th RGD will be assembled by the American Institute of Physics (AIP). The submitted papers will be reviewed during and/or after the conference, and then
tentatively scheduled to be published in January 2011. The cost of this is included in the conference registration fee.
