Students Smiling

It has been 30 years since HIV/AIDS was first detected in the United States. Do you have the latest information to answer a young person’s questions about this disease?

Learn these important skills, and more, with PLASE.

The Pennsylvania Learning Academy for Sexuality Education (PLASE) provides sexuality education training to those professionals who work with young people in need of accurate sexual information and health-promoting skills.

PLASE, a collaborative initiative with the Pennsylvania Coalition to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, is based in the Department of Biobehavioral Health in Penn State’s College of Health and Human Development. It offers a statewide education network for Pennsylvania, but welcomes participants from any location and background.

PLASE can also work with schools and community groups to design, deliver, and evaluate sexuality education programs for targeted audiences.
