According to the National Agricultural
Statistics Service, computer use is
on the increase:
- In New Jersey and Pennsylvania,
the number of farmers who use computers
for business nearly doubled in the
last six years, from 15 percent in
1997 to 28 percent in 2003.
- 55 percent of farmers have access
to a computer.
- Internet access among farmers has
jumped from 15 percent in 1997 to
48 percent in 2003.
