WPSX-TV wins Mid-Atlantic Emmy Penn State Public Broadcasting television station WPSX-TV won a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award in the Outstanding Sports Series category for Center Court with Rene Portland. We are quite proud of this achievement, Ted Krichels, general manager of Penn State Public Broadcasting, said. Recognition from industry peers is always gratifying and reflects the talents of a very dedicated staff. WPSX-TV staff receiving the Emmy Award for their work on Center Court with Rene Portland included Anne Moss, host; Bill Amin, producer; Don Hampton, segment director; Jennifer Bortz, audio specialist; and Matt Chirdon, graphic designer. The Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards recognize excellence in the TV industry within the geographic region of the Philadelphia chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The regional competition included nominees from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Southern New Jersey and West Virginia. ![]() |
