The 23rd annual Chamber Music Workshop, sponsored by the College of Arts and Architecture, drew 36 musicians from 10 states and Israel for intensive and practical experience in playing chamber music. Members of the Carujian Quartet led the series of lecture-performances for the five string quartets selected for the workshop. Formed in 1995, the quartet is comprised of, from left, James Lyon, violinist and associate professor of music at Penn State; Ruth Monson, violinist; Carol Lyon, cellist; and Ann E. Bellino, violist. James Lyon says the workshop is a fun and informal way to get together to play chamber music.
