Summer 2006 Financial Aid

The Penn State academic year begins with the fall semester and ends with the summer sessions. To be considered for summer 2006 student aid, you will need to submit the 2005-06 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by June 30. We strongly recommend that you complete the FAFSA online. (Only credit courses are eligible for federal aid. Noncredit courses are not eligible.)

If your summer class begins before June 30, you will be required to pay your tuition up front; you will then receive a financial aid reimbursement if you are eligible.

If you are a student who is eligible for a Pennsylvania summer state grant, you must submit a separate summer application if you want to use your grant. Print out a 2006 Summer PHEAA State Grant application form from the Office of Student Aid's Web site. Once you are registered for the summer, the Office of Student Aid will submit your costs to PHEAA; however, your grant cannot be processed if you have not submitted your summer application.

For more information and assistance, contact the Office of Student Aid: 814-865-6301 or visit their web page.
