New Search Tool in Libraries Saves Time, Produces Results

MultiSearch, a new online Penn State University Libraries search tool, facilitates simultaneous searches in various combinations of databases and resources, and presents the results in a unified display. It also gives you the option, at any point in the search, to link directly to the desired resource and take advantage of any search features or services offered by that information provider.

MySpace, another special feature in MultiSearch, enables you to customize your search environment, create a local catalog of findings, save search histories, and schedule alerts so that you are sent messages when relevant new materials are available. For these advanced features, you must log in on the MultiSearch page.

You can try MultiSearch today at www.libraries.psu.edu/multi.html; for help using MultiSearch, send an e-mail to er_help@psulias.psu.edu.
