Got Access?

An active Penn State computer Access Account (userID@psu.edu) is required to access online courses and University resources (e.g., Libraries, eLion, eStudentUnion). Penn State will also use your account to communicate with you about financial aid, registration, and other important student-related issues--so it's important that you check this account frequently.

If you already use a non-Penn State e-mail account (e.g., AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo!), you can have your Penn State e-mail forwarded to that e-mail account. This is easy to set up and will prevent you from having to check two accounts.

1. Go to www.work.psu.edu.
2. In the column to the right, under "Directory Services," click on the link titled "Change your e-mail forwarding address."
3. Enter your Penn State userID and password.
4. A screen will then appear with a "Forwarding Address" box, where you will type the e-mail address to which you want your Penn State e-mail forwarded.
5. Click on the "Change" button.

And that's it!

If you don't already have a non-Penn State e-mail account, the easiest way to check your Penn State e-mail is to sign into Penn State WebMail using your Penn State userID and password.
