
Technology Integration Certificate for K–12 Educators for Tomorrow (TICKET)
Program Overview
The program requires a total of 15 Penn State graduate credits from the following:Core Courses (required—9 credits)
EDTEC 400 Introduction to Instructional Technology for Educators
EDTEC 448 Using the Internet in the Classroom
INSYS 415B Systematic Instructional Development
(EDTEC 400 should be taken first, then INSYS 415B or EDTEC 448, followed by any of the program electives.)
Electives (two additional courses required—6 credits)
EDTEC 449 Video and Hypermedia in the Classroom
EDTEC 461 Designing Computer Networks for Education
EDTEC 462 Coordinating Technology Use in Education
INSYS 441 Design, Development, and Evaluation of Internet Resources
INSYS 447 Instructional Design for Multimedia Technologies

Master's Degree Advising
Students who plan to continue beyond the TICKET certificate to the M.Ed. should take their last TICKET elective from one of the required courses for the master's program and should consult with a program faculty member before registering for their final TICKET course. One course (INSYS 415B) must be taken online via Penn State's World Campus. Visit www.worldcampus.psu.edu/INSYS415 for course availability and registration information.If you do not wish to complete all the courses required for this certificate, you may take any single course or courses that interest you.
