Advanced Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

Learn to:

  • use PLC programs involving the manipulation of data
  • understand PLC programs involving set-point control
  • control industrial sequences using PLC programs
  • control PID loops
  • acquire data using PLCs

  


 

Introduction to Hydraulics
IE T 5002
(2.4 CEUs)
Learn to:

  • identify the components of a basic hydraulic circuit and understand how they work together
  • operate and troubleshoot hydraulic pistons and vane-type cylinders
  • construct, operate, and maintain basic hydraulic circuits
  • operate and test complex hydraulic circuits that control displacement, volume, pressure, and fluid reparation
  • operate and test complex hydraulic circuits, such as regeneration, speed-control, and closed-loop circuits

 


 

Introduction to Pneumatics

Learn to:

  • identify the components of a basic pneumatic circuit and understand how they work together
  • operate, maintain, and troubleshoot different types of compressors
  • operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pneumatic actuators
  • construct, maintain, and troubleshoot pneumatic circuits used for pressure, speed, and directional control
  • select, install, maintain, and troubleshoot components of a typical pneumatic air distribution system

 




Motors, Controls, and AC Drives

Learn to:

  • maintain, repair, and troubleshoot DC motors
  • maintain, repair, and troubleshoot AC motors
  • test, repair, and troubleshoot DC motor control circuits
  • test, repair, and troubleshoot AC motor control circuits
  • operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AC motor drives
