Penn State

About the Program

What will you learn?

In the highly competitive business arena, engineers and other technical professionals must have interpersonal skills to excel. The Engineering Leadership Series curriculum teaches you the essential nontechnical skills you need to become a successful leader:

  • taking calculated risks
  • setting and exceeding reasonable goals
  • working within a team environment
  • leading multidisciplinary and cross-divisional teams
  • thinking "out of the box" and encouraging creativity
  • making effective written and verbal presentations

Complete the series during the evenings in just a few months

Each course is held two evenings a week over six weeks. The program also features "blended delivery," combining face-to-face classroom instruction with Internet-delivered assignments.

Apply credits toward a degree

With proper planning, the credits you earn from this program can be applied toward a baccalaureate or postbaccalaureate degree. Speak with an academic adviser to determine how these credits can be transferred.
