Staff members from Penn State World Campus, Continuing Education, and Public Broadcasting have had a busy summer packing for and unpacking after their move into the new Penn State Outreach Building, located adjacent to The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel at the northern edge of University Park campus.

The Outreach Building is the first dedicated adult learner facility at University Park, featuring classrooms specifically designed for adult learners (including wireless capabilities, conference-style tables, and plenty of space), free and convenient parking, and early-morning and lunchtime classes beginning in fall semester. Additional Continuing Education classes will be held at The Penn Stater.

"We are very excited about the possibilities this will open to help [...] further make Penn State an adult-friendly place," said Wayne Smutz, senior director of Penn State Continuing Education.

World Campus and Continuing Education Student Services offices also have moved into the Outreach Building, providing local adult learners with easy access to course registration, academic advising, and exam proctoring, among other support services.

In addition to housing the instructional design, marketing, and finance offices, the Outreach Building also is now home to Penn State Public Broadcasting (WPSX-TV and WPSU-FM). Building visitors can get an up close view of television and radio productions, courtesy of studio windows that face the building lobby.

The Outreach Building is located at 100 Innovation Boulevard off of I-99 (exits 73 or 74). Look for the building with the satellite dishes!
