  • Accumulate points toward meeting requirements.
  • Satisfy Act 48 requirements.
  • Earn Penn State credit or CEUs.
Pennsylvania has mandated that many special education teachers and some elementary education teachers meet certain math proficiency and certification requirements by 2008. Earn Penn State credits and/or Act 48 hours as you prepare for the state-mandated math praxis exam, or accumulate points necessary to meet new math requirements, by enrolling in this four-course series. These courses will refresh your knowledge of math, algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, probability, and statistics.

Penn State has designed four courses to follow material covered in the Educational Testing Service Math Praxis Exam that Pennsylvania requires. For specific requirements, check the Pennsylvania Department of Education Web site at http://www.pde.state.pa.us/.
