Private Support and Endowments
Ongoing needs for Outreach include:
Academic Support
Undergraduate Adult Student Support: 100 new endowed scholarships to support adult learners, whether attending a campus full-time, working toward an online degree through the World Campus, returning to complete a degree, or taking credit courses through Continuing Education
Program Development Support: support for workforce development, nutrition and health, and youth programming
Public Broadcasting Support: development of new programming in support of educators, local communities, Penn State sports and academics, and children
Community-Based Programs
Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center: $12 million to upgrade facilities, increase access, and develop environmentally sustainable, energy-efficient learning spaces
Continuing Education Learning Centers: Program endowments to extend learning opportunities and Penn State education to community-centered locations
4-H and Cooperative Extension: Endowment of extension educators and 4-H program leaders, support of 4-H leadership development programs, scholarships for 4-H'ers, county endowments, and funds to sustain 4-H Forever
