Outreach for Faculty
Each year 1,500 Penn State faculty provide more than 2,000 outreach programs and services in collaboration with the University’s colleges and campuses, sharing their expertise to respond to the economic, social, education, and cultural issues facing individuals, communities, and organizations. Outreach can open the door to more opportunities for teaching and learning; research and scholarly publication; international visibility; consulting opportunities; student and faculty recruiting; and public support and fund-raising. Through Outreach, Penn State facilitates partnerships that are mutually beneficial between faculty and external organizations and communities—helping to transform the quality of life for people in Pennsylvania, the nation, and beyond.
